LAS POZAS

Lots of times I imagine how excellent it would be if I had the ability to teleport.
If I could teleport the first place I would go (after robbing a bank vault) would be Las Pozas in Mexico. There is an incredible gigantic garden of surrealist sculptures hiding behind the ferns and palms and vines and cacti and giant poisonous flowers. These sculptures were created by a man named Edward James, the world's biggest collector of surrealist art. He came from an aristocratic family in Britain, running away to Mexico to build his own world.

For some reason thinking about Las Pozas reminds me of a documentary I watched once about a man who lived in a Brazilian slum and had spend years building his house up into an incredible curving, organic castle/ sculpture of a thing. Although his building techniques and ideas were scarily similar to the Spanish architect/sculptor Gaudi, this man had never heard of nor seen anything to do with Gaudi in his life. He said God told him how to build and which part to work on next. Many parts of the house were covered in worn glass and shells. I really wish I could remember the man's name on which the documentary was centered around (or the documentary's title for that matter). At the end of the documentary the film-makers took this man to see Gaudi's work in Barcelona. It was really great.

Dream

I had a dream yesterday morning in which I was collecting many long sticks into a bundle. When I looked down at what I had collected I saw that one of the sticks was sky blue.

This Town

Pomegranates

I picked them out of a tree in the neighbourhood last night. Is picking fruit from somebody else's tree theft?

Last Sunday

I found a tiger mask at work. It wasn't long before things spiraled out of control: We ended up making a shrine out of my friend Joel.

Are Cacti bad Feng shui?

When I moved into my current abode my flatmate said the one thing I couldn't do was bring a cactus plant into the house. He said he hated them! He is convinced they are bad Feng shui. I like Cacti. They are so alien looking and also you only have to water them about 5 times a year. How can something from nature disrupt the laws of Feng Shui? Is it the spikes? I really want to start a cactus garden but I think I will get evicted if I try.

RIGHT NOW!

- Two people in the world are having an awkward hug
- Someone woke up at a strangers house and couldn't find their pants
- A man found a cigarette butt in his meat pie
- People are dancing
- A dog is feasting on an unattended roast chicken
- A girl thought her house was haunted but really a possum is trapped in the roof
- Lightning struck a tree and set it on fire
- A mushroom is growing in the dark
- Somebody lost their virginity
